Contego Deicing Solutions Impresses US Military Pilot

Contego Deicing Sytems, an airplane deicing provider owned by Group One, was recently contacted by one of its own competitors asking if we could bail them out and deice a US Military KC-135 for them. The KC-135 is a very large plane which operates as a refueling tanker and refuels other airplanes in mid-air via a floating boom that extends to the other airplane.

The competitor had tried to deice the aircraft already, but by the time they finished spraying the Type I deicing fluid, the aircraft was covered with snow again.

Contego Deicing uses more efficient techniques and equipment and was able to deice the KC-135 without issue. After Contego finished deicing the plane, the pilot did a walk around and remarked what an outstanding job Contego had done.

The pilot went over to the competitor’s ground rep and told them that they were flying again tomorrow night and that they wanted Contego to deice the aircraft. The pilot was very impressed with Contego’s deicing trucks and said they were looking forward to seeing us the next night.

It appears that even the competition has come to realize that Contego is the go-to provider for the best deicing solutions.
